The main aim of the Dental Biomaterials Research Group, BIOMAT, is to contribute to the study, evaluation and development of the biomaterials used in the dental field. This group has a multidisciplinary background with researchers from different specialties of dentistry and dental technology. One of its main goals is the characterization and evaluation of biomaterials used to restore the tooth structure lost by decay disease and used to replace natural teeth. The study of computer based and digital techniques applied in restorative dentistry and oral rehabilitation, are also the objective of this research group.
